According to Times Daily, a felony and two misdemeanors are pending against the man who police said led them on a Friday morning pursuit that resulted in a collision in Muscle Shoals. According to court documents, Russellville resident Michael Shane Taylor, 31, is accused with two charges of second-degree attempted assault, driving under the influence, and attempting to evade. Taylor got into his Chevrolet Silverado pickup and drove off while cops were administering the field sobriety test, according to Deputy Chief Ira Davis on Monday. Just off Three Mile Island, close to the intersection of Lilah Poppins Drive, Taylor’s truck ended up on its left side. After receiving treatment at North Alabama Medical Center, he was brought to the Lauderdale County Detention Center, according to Davis. The only person hurt in the incident was him. According to jail officials, Davis was freed the following day on a $10,500 bond.
