On Wednesday, October 23rd from 7:00 to 10:00, the Tennessee Highway Safety Office will join the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, and Nolensville Police Department for a “Crosswalk Talk” and pedestrian traffic enforcement event to raise awareness and reduce pedestrian crashes. The purpose of “Crosswalk Talk” is for the THSO and law enforcement to interview pedestrians who do not use crosswalks and ask why they choose not to use them. The THSO will use this opportunity to inform citizens about pedestrian traffic laws and offer safety tips. During this time, THP and WCSO will monitor the intersection of Rocky Fork Road and York Road as well as school zones near Nolensville Elementary School and Mill Creek Middle School to crack down on traffic violations like speeding and distracted driving to help protect pedestrians.
