Two Sustain Critical Injuries In Friday Evening Crash

Lawrence County Fire & Rescue units worked a crash on Buffalo Road, near the Valley Road intersection around 8:30 Friday evening that resulted in critical injuries to two persons. The initial caller indicated that one of the vehicles had caught fire and that both people were trapped inside their vehicles. By the time emergency personnel arrived, the fire had been extinguished. The victims were extricated and received initial medical treatment by Lawrence County EMS before being airlifted to Level 1 trauma centers. Units with Lawrenceburg Fire Department also responded, along with members of the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The crash remains under investigation.
