Wreck Reported on Wednesday Afternoon

Shortly after 6:30 Wednesday afternoon, Lawrence County Fire Rescue units were dispatched to Henryville Road in the area of Long Road for a motor vehicle crash with reports of a vehicle on fire and persons trapped. The first arriving units found a two-vehicle crash with one patient heavily pinned inside the vehicle and one patient on the ground outside of the second vehicle. Both patients were triaged as critical. Two air medical helicopters were requested to the scene while personnel worked to extricate the trapped patient. Tennessee Highway Patrol was also on the scene.
