Lawrence County Commissioners Advance with Two Major Projects

During their meeting on September 24th, Lawrence County Commissioners made decisions that advanced two major projects: the new Lawrence County Health Department and the West Gaines School Community Center. The West Gaines School Community Center, Inc., a nonprofit organization made up of former students, relatives, and friends, was granted ownership of the West Gaines School site by a unanimous decision of the Commission. On September 24th, commissioners also approved World Architects and Engineers to design the new Health Department.
