Tax Relief For Those Affected By Hurricane Helene

The Internal Revenue Service announced tax relief for individuals and businesses affected by Hurricane Helene in Tennessee.

The IRS reports that affected taxpayers will now have until May 1, 2025, to file various federal individual and business tax returns.

This comes after the Federal Emergency Management Agency announced the disaster declaration.

Individuals and households that reside or have business in Carter, Cocke, Greene, Hamblen, Hawkins, Johnson, Unicoi, and Washington counties qualify for tax relief.
