At least a dozen school shooting threats have been reported in Middle Tennessee, despite arrests and penalties. Police are advising parents to educate their children that remarks made online can have real-world repercussions. Tennessee officially established a zero-tolerance policy last year. It stipulated that students who made threats would face punishments, including expulsion and loss of their right to drive. Parents and guardians, please inform children that this is a serious matter and should never be taken lightly.
