Harassment Law Expanded to Include Bullying and Cyberbullying

A change in Tennessee law will soon make bullying and cyberbullying Class A misdemeanor offenses.  The amendment to the law expands the offense of harassment to include bullying and cyberbullying.   If the victim is a minor, the law requires law enforcement officials to notify the victim’s parents or guardians, as well.  The change will go into effect on Monday, July 1.
