TDOT Receives $23.7 Million Grant For Rail Bridges

The Tennessee Department of Transportation has been awarded $23.7 million in Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvement grant funds from the Federal Railroad Administration.  The funds will be used to upgrade or replace 42 rail bridges that are past their intended lifespan.  The bridges are primarily located in rural areas along 10 different short lines in 12 different counties.
