UNEMPLOYMENT RATES DROPPED IN COUNTIES ACROSS TENNESSEE IN FEBRUARY, ACCORDING TO NEW DATA RELEASED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT. EACH OF THE STATE’S 95 COUNTIES SAW LOWER UNEMPLOYMENT DURING THE SECOND MONTH OF 2022. NINETY-ONE COUNTIES RECORDED A RATE OF LESS THAN 5% FOR FEBRUARY, WHILE FOUR COUNTIES HAD UNEMPLOYMENT HIGHER THAN 5%, BUT LESS THAN 10%, DURING THE MONTH. MOORE COUNTY HAD TENNESSEE’S LOWEST UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IN FEBRUARY AND WILLIAMSON COUNTY HAD THE STATE’S SECOND-LOWEST RATE FOR THE MONTH AT 2%. LAWRENCE COUNTY ALONG WITH MARSHALL AND MAURY COUNTIES CAME IN AT 3 PERCENT WHILE GILES AND LEWIS COUNTIES CAME IN AT 3.2 PERCENT AND WAYNE COUNTY CAME IN AT 4.4 PERCENT.
