LAWRENCE COUNTY EMS SAW A SLIGHT INCREASE IN CALLS FOR SERVICE IN JANUARY WITH TRANSPORTS SLIGHTLY DECREASED. ACCORDING TO THEIR MONTLY SERVICE REPORT FOR THE MONTH. DURING THE MONTH OF JANUARY EMS HAD A TOTAL OF 487 REQUESTS AND A TOTAL OF 330 PATIENTS TRANSPORTED. EMS ALSO RESPONDED TO 50 PUBLIC ASSIST CALLS, HAD 87 REFUSAL OF TRANSPORT CALLS AND 13 FIRE STANDBY, LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE AND MUTAL AID REQUESTS. ALSO, DURING THE MONTH EMS RESPONDERS COMPLETED IN SERVICE EDUCATION FOCUSING ON EMERGENCY VEHICLE OPERATIONS AND EMERGENCY DRIVING. EMS PERSONNEL ALSO COMPLETED THE PEARS PEDIATRIC EDUCATION COURSE AND PERSONNEL PARTICIPATED IN 5 OUTREACH EVENTS.
