City of Lawrenceburg Announces New City Administrator

The Lawrenceburg Mayor and City Council named Richard “Dick” McKinley as the new administrator for the City of Lawrenceburg.

McKinley brings a wealth of experience to the position, having spent most of his professional life in local government management. He comes to Lawrenceburg from Lynnwood, WA, where he served as the general manager of the Alderwood Water District. Prior to that he was the public works director of the City of Paso Robles, CA. McKinley has a master’s degree in public administration and has extensive knowledge of all aspects of local government.

“Dick will be the perfect fit as our new city administrator,” said Mayor Blake Lay. “His knowledge and experience will be invaluable to us as we move forward and take Lawrenceburg to greater heights. The City Council and I are thrilled he and his family have chosen Lawrenceburg as their home, and we’re excited he is joining our team.” 

McKinley is also committed to community service and will be involved serving the citizens of Lawrenceburg and Lawrence County.

"My wife and I are excited to be part of Lawrenceburg and to be of service to the community.” McKinley said. “I am looking forward to hard work bringing the vision of the Mayor and Council to fruition."

McKinley began his duties with the City on December 1, 2022.
