Tennessee Department of Health Now Providing Booster Shots to Eligible

The Tennessee Department of Health has announced they are offering a booster dose of COVID-19 Vaccine to those who are eligible beginning today, Monday, October 25^th. For individuals who received a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine, the following groups are now eligible for a booster shot – 6 months or more after they completed their initial vaccine series: those age 65 and older, those aged 18+ who live in long-term care, those 18+ who have underlying medical conditions, and those 18+ who work or live in high risk settings. Though availability is different county to county, most local health departments will now begin administering booster doses.
