Members of Cadette Senior Girl Scout Troop 001 who have been working on earning their Democracy badge visited the State Capitol Wednesday.  They were able to spend time talking with different state officials, as well as local Representative Clay Doggett.

The Lawrenceburg Fire Department will host a CPR Class on Saturday, December 14 at the Jason Dickey Training Center.  The class will begin at 9 a.m.  For more information contact Dwain Bradley at 931-629-1332.

Anyone who wishes to be included in this year’s Santa for Seniors program should be aware that the application deadline is approaching.  Applications may be submitted online by way of the Santa for Seniors Facebook page.  Application forms are also printed in the Lawrence County Advocate.  The deadline to submit applications is Thursday, December 12.

Loretto Lift Up and Loretto History Museum will host an Open House and Christmas Party Sunday from 1 to 3.  There will be Christmas snacks and an opportunity for pictures with Santa.  The event will be held at Loretto History Museum, 128 South Main Street in Loretto.

Lawrence County bid farewell Monday to Roy Dale Hagan, who held the seat for District 4 on the Lawrence County Commission.  Hagan died November 29 following a battle with cancer.  He was Supervisor of the Tool Room at Murray Ohio, Plant Manager for Delta Steel & Tube, and was a farmer.  He was involved in many clubs and activities in the county and was a member of Copperas Branch Baptist […]
