Music has been prevalent in my life since an early age. My parents were huge Country Music fans, and it rubbed off on me listening to the stack of albums on the HiFi every night drifting off to sleep. My first radio gig was in 1980 in High School, doing morning and afternoon announcements and music. College came next with an overnight shift on the Campus Station, WCHP. After graduation the journey began in Florida at WJRQ in Williston, followed by work at two other Florida stations, WLVU near Tampa Bay, and WYGC (Gator Country) in Gainesville. Finally simultaneous stops at WDXE in Lawrenceburg & WMCP in Columbia, followed by the past 35 years in Pulaski at WKSR, with a brief stop at WLX in Lawrenceburg. Sports play by play coverage included the Richland Raiders, Giles County Bobcats, Martin College, and stringing for the University of Florida Gators. Programming duties were included with my On-Air shifts, along with sales, news, and promotions. It’s been in my heart and soul all my life…a true blessing to be able to carry on the gift my parents gave me.
