TVA Awards Local Grants

The Tennessee Valley Authority, in partnership with Bicentennial Volunteers Inc, a TVA retiree organization, is awarding a record-tying $1.5 million in grants to educators to develop science, technology, engineering, and math education projects across the Tennessee Valley region. TDOT Roadwork continues this week in our area, In Maury County State Route 246, the Nashville Smart-Way Intelligent Transportation System maintenance will continue daily from 9am until 3pm. There will be intermittent lane closures to install the overhead detection system.

Former Florida Resident Charged In Giles County

A former Gainesville, Florida Mayoral Candidate who was reported missing is charged with criminal homicide in Tennessee. Jail records from the Giles County Jail show 39-year-old Adam Rosenthal is in custody. Rosenthal is suspected of killing a man whose body was found Tuesday afternoon. Rosenthal is believed to be a member of a religious group known as The Twelve Tribes. Rosenthal had been reported missing from Gainesville earlier this year.
