JOSEPH CLAY HARDIN, 90, OF PULASKI, DIED WEDNESDAY.  HE WAS A RETIRED TEACHER, PRINCIPAL, AND COACH.  HE SERVED IN THE AIR FORCE, HE SERVED AS FOOTBALL/BASKETBALL COACH AND PRINCIPAL OF GILES COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL, ATHLETIC DIRECTOR AND BASKETBALL COACH AT MARTIN METHODIST COLLEGE AND MEN'S BASKETBALL COACH AT ATHENS STATE COLLEGE.

HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS SONS: SCOTT HARDIN OF BRENTWOOD, STEVE WOODS OF TEXAS AND BOBBY TOWNSEND OF PULASKI; DAUGHTER: CATHY LAXON OF PULASKI; 12 GRANDCHILDREN AND FOUR GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.

THE GRAVESIDE SERVICE FOR JOSEPH CLAY HARDIN WILL BE SATURDAY AT 3:30 AT MAPLEWOOD CEMETERY. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE VISITORS SATURDAY FROM 12 TO 3 AT BENNETT MAY AND PIERCE FUNERAL HOME.
