TROY BROWN WHITWORTH, 95, OF PULASKI DIED MONDAY.  HE SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES ARMY, WAS A GILES COUNTY TRUSTEE, A MEMBER OF THE BEEF MASTER CATTLEMAN ASSOCIATION, HELPED ESTABLISH THE FIRST FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN IN PULASKI WHERE HE SERVED AS PRESIDENT AND WAS A MEMBER OF THE EAST HILL CHURCH OF CHRIST.

HE IS SURVIVED BY THREE DAUGHTERS: BRENDA MCCLURE OF PULASKI, KATHY LUNA AND DELLA CORBIN BOTH OF LEWISBURG, FOUR SISTERS: FAYE TAYLOR, ELAINE COMPTON, BEVERLY WOODARD AND REBECCA HOLDER; SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN, FOURTEEN GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN AND ONE GREAT –GREAT- GRANDCHILD.

THE FUNERAL SERVICE FOR TROY BROWN WHITWORTH WILL BE WEDNESDAY AT 1 AT BENNETT-MAY AND PIERCE FUNERAL HOME WITH BURIAL IN THE MAPLEWOOD CEMETERY.  THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE VISITORS WEDNESDAY FROM 11 TO 1 AT THE FUNERAL HOME.  DONATIONS MAY BE MADE TO THE TRIBUTE PROGRAM AT ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL.
