EMERGENCY PERSONNEL ARE CONTINUING TO WORK AN ACCIDENT INVOLVING AN OVERTURNED TRACTOR TRAILER ON HIGHWAY 43 NORTH AT VAUGHN STAGGS ROAD . EMERGENCY PERSONNEL WERE DISPATCHED TO THE SCENE SHORTLY AFTER 2 THIS AFTERNOON. THE TRACTOR TRAILER WAS HAULING ALUMINUM AND METAL WHICH HAD ALL NORTH BOUND LANES BLOCKED. SEVERAL FIRE DEPARTMENTS RESPONDED INCLUDING THE SUMMERTOWN FIRE DEPARTMENT, ETHRIDGE FIRE DEPARTMENT, EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY, AS WELL AS LAWRENCE COUNTY EMS. A FUEL LEAK OF OVER 35 GALLONS PROMPTED RESPONSE FROM THE LAWRENCEBURG FIRE DEPARTMENT'S HAZMAT TEAM. THE DRIVER OF THE TRUCK SUFFERED MINOR INJURIES. CREWS ARE WORKING TO GET THE ACCIDENT COMPLETELY CLEARED AND TRAFFIC MOVING BACK TO NORMAL. THE ACCIDENT REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
