THE LAWRENCEBURG CITY COUNCIL MET IN REGULAR SESSION TODAY. THE MEETING BEGAN WITH RECOGNIZING SHAYNE ADAMS WITH THE LAWRENCEBURG FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF SERVICE AS HE RETIRES. ADAMS WILL REMAIN WITH THE DEPARTMENT ON AN ON CALL STATUS. LEADERS THEN TURNED THEIR FOCUS ON A SHORT AGENDA IN WHICH ALL ITEMS WERE VOTED ON AND APPROVED. AMONG THE ITEMS INCLUDE A RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO A VOLUNTARY CONDEMNATION AGREEMENT REGARDING PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE CORNER OF GAINES STREET AND MILITARY AVENUE WHICH WILL BE TURNED INTO A GREEN SPACE AND PARKING. A RESOLUTION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SAFETY PARTNERS LOSS CONTROL MATCHING GRANT PROGRAM AND A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT MARTY BRADLEY TO COMPLETE THE TERM OF BAYLEE FINCHER ON THE LAWRENCEBURG HISTORICAL ZONING COMMISSION. THE BOARD WILL MEET AGAIN ON THE SECOND TUESDAY IN OCTOBER.
