LAWRENCE COUNTIANS CHOSE A NEW ASSESSOR OF PROPERTY DURING THURSDAY'S COUNTY GENERAL ELECTION.  CHALLENGER BRADY HUTTON DEFEATED INCUMBENT BARBARA KIZER 3,160 TO 2,875.  REGISTER OF DEEDS TERA DICKEY WAS UNOPPOSED FOR HER OFFICE WHILE SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER RICKY MABRY DEFEATED HIS CHALLENGER DURING THURSDAY NIGHT.  JUST UNDER 26% OF REGISTERED VOTERS TURNED OUT FOR THE GENERAL AND STATE PRIMARY ELECTION WITH JUST OVER 3,000 VOTES CAST ON ELECTION DAY WHILE OVER 2,000 VOTERS CHOSE TO PUT IN EARLY VOTES.  JUST OVER 300 LAWRENCE COUNTY VOTERS OPTED TO ENTER THEIR CHOICES BY MAIL-IN BALLOT FOR THIS ELECTION CYCLE.
