A STOLEN VEHICLE WAS RECOVERED AND AN ARREST MADE OVER THE WEEKEND IN ETHRIDGE.  ACCORDING TO A PRESS RELEASE, OFFICERS WITH THE ETHRIDGE POLICE DEPARTMENT INITIATED A TRAFFIC STOP SATURDAY ON HAGAN ROAD. THE OFFICERS QUICKLY DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE THEY HAD PULLED OVER HAD BEEN REPORTED STOLEN ON FEBRUARY 24TH.  THE VEHICLE'S DRIVER, 34 YEAR OLD KEITH RICHARD HALEY, WAS ARRESTED AND BOOKED INTO THE LAWRENCE COUNTY JAIL ON A SINGLE OF CHARGE OF BEING IN POSSESSION OF A STOLEN VEHICLE AND GIVEN A $10,000.00 BOND.

"ETHRIDGE HAS SOME OF THE FINEST LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS WHO WORK TIRELESSLY TO SERVE AND PROTECT OUR COMMUNITY. THOUGH OUR DEPARTMENT IS SMALL, WE PUT FORTH A DILIGENT EFFORT IN PURSUING ALL AVENUES OF CRIME THAT AFFECT OUR TOWN. TO OFFICERS ISBELL AND NICHOLS, JOB WELL DONE," STATED CITY POLICE CHIEF VANCE JACK.

HALEY WILL ANSWER TO HIS CHARGES IN A FUTURE SESSION OF LAWRENCE COUNTY GENERAL SESSIONS COURT.
