MAURY COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION HAS CLOSED ALL OF IT'S PLAYGROUNDS IN AN EFFORT TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF THE CORONAVIRUS, A DECISION THAT WAS MADE TO COMPLY WITH TENNESSEE GOVERNOR BILL LEE'S EXECUTIVE ORDER AND A STATE OF EMERGENCY WHICH WAS ENACTED BY COLUMBIA OFFICIALS ON MONDAY. THE CLOSURE INCLUDES ALL EQUIPMENT AND LIMITS SOCIAL GATHERINGS AT THE SIX PARKS IN MAURY COUNTY. ALTHOUGH THE ATTRACTIONS MAY BE CLOSED, LOCAL AND STATE LEADERS CONTINUE TO ALLOW THE PUBLIC TO EXERCISE OUTSIDE, AS LONG AS THEY PRACTICE A SAFE AT LEAST 6-FOOT PHYSICAL DISTANCE FROM ONE ANOTHER. MAURY COUNTY'S DOG PARK, LOCATED INSIDE MAURY COUNTY PARK, WILL REMAIN OPEN FOR USE ALSO.  .
