IN HIS DAILY BRIEFING ON TUESDAY, TENNESSEE GOVERNOR BILL LEE ANNOUNCED THAT SCHOOLS ARE TO REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL APRIL 24TH.  IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATION, LAWRENCE COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM ANNOUNCED TODAY THAT THEY WILL REMAIN CLOSED AND WILL FOLLOW THE GUIDANCE PROVIDED FROM THE GOVERNOR. DURING THIS CLOSURE PERIOD, THERE WILL BE NO SCHOOL SPONSORED ACTIVITIES OR EVENTS. IN THE COMING WEEKS, THEY WILL CONTINUE TO COMMUNICATE PLANS AND OPTIONAL LEARNING RESOURCES TO STUDENTS AND PARENTS. THESE RESOURCES ARE INTENDED TO ALLOW OUR STUDENTS TO PRACTICE GRADE LEVEL SKILLS IN THIS TIME OF SCHOOL CLOSURES. RESOURCES AND UPDATES CAN BE FOUND ON THEIR WEBSITE LCSS.US.
