THE SPRING HILL BOARD OF MAYOR AND ALDERMEN WILL MEET IN REGULAR SESSION TUESDAY. AMONG THE ITEMS TO BE DISCUSSED INCLUDE THE SELLING OF THE NORTHFIELD WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT CENTER LOCATED OFF HIGHWAY 31 NEAR SATURN PARKWAY. PURCHASED IN 2017 FOR 8.18 MILLION, THE COMPLEX WAS INITIALLY PLANNED TO BE RENOVATED AND REPURPOSED FOR ALL CITY OPERATIONS INCLUDING NEW CITY HALL, SPRING HILL POLICE DEPARTMENT AND SPRING HILL LIBRARY BUT WITH GROWING CONCERNS, LEADERS, DECIDED THAT RELOCATING WOULD NOT BE IN THE CITY'S BEST LONG TERM INTEREST. THE GALLATIN BASED CRESCENDO ENTERTAINMENT IS LOOKING TO BUY THE PROPERTY FOR 9.2 MILLION DOLLARS AND WILL USE THE SPACE AS A PREMIER VENUE FOR CONCERTS AND REHEARSALS OF MAJOR MUSIC AND TOURING ACTS. THE MEETING IS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN AT 7 PM AT CITY HALL ON TOWN CENTER PARKWAY.
