A MAN WHO WAS INVOLVED IN AN EARLY 2018 DEATH INCIDENT AT A NORTH LAWRENCE COUNTY PROPERTY WAS SENTENCED MONDAY FOLLOWING A PLEA DEAL.  ACCORDING TO THE 22ND JUDICIAL DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE, 52 YEAR OLD THOMAS EDWARD RUGGIERI WAS ORIGINALLY ARRESTED IN FEBRUARY 2018 FOR AN INCIDENT THAT LEAD TO A DEATH AT WHEELIN’ IN THE COUNTRY IN SUMMERTOWN.  RUGGIERI PLEADED GUILTY TO RECKLESS HOMICIDE AND RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT.  THE CHARGE OF RECKLESS HOMICIDE CARRIES A SENTENCE OF 10 YEARS WHILE RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT CARRIES 2 YEARS WHICH WILL BE SERVED CONCURRENTLY.  ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY VICTORIA HAYWOOD PROSECUTED THE CASE.
