SECRETARY OF STATE TRE HARGETT. ACCORDING TO A PRESS RELEASE, THE FOLLOWING LIBRARIES IN DISTRICT 28 WILL RECEIVE A TECHNOLOGY GRANT FROM THE TN LIBRARY & ARCHIVES. THESE GRANTS WILL BE USED TO PURCHASE DESKTOPS, MONITORS, PRINTERS, NETWORKING EQUIPMENT, ETC. ACCESS TO COMPUTERS AND HIGH SPEED INTERNET IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT FOR EDUCATION & CAREER RESOURCES, ESPECIALLY IN RURAL COMMUNITIES. ARDMORE PUBLIC LIBRARY WILL RECEIVE A GRANT FOR $622.00, GILES COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY WILL RECEIVE A GRANT FOR $1,579.00, LEWIS COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY WILL RECEIVE A GRANT FOR $2,541.00, PERRY COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY WILL RECEIVE A GRANT FOR $4,858.00 AND WAYNE COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY WILL RECEIVE A GRANT FOR $666.00. HENSLEY ADVISED HE IS HAPPY TO SEE THESE LIBRARIES RECEIVE GRANTS TO IMPROVE THE COMMUNITIES AND PROVIDE BETTER SERVICE TO THE CONSTITUENTS IN THEIR COUNTIES.
