A TRAFFIC STOP LATE SUNDAY EVENING LEAD TO THE ARREST OF A LAWRENCE COUNTY WOMAN.  ACCORDING TO REPORTS, DEPUTIES WITH THE LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT INITIATED A TRAFFIC STOP ON BRINK STREET AROUND 11:30. CONSENT TO SEARCH THE VEHICLE WAS OBTAINED WHICH YIELDED A METH PIPE, DIGITAL SCALES AND A PLASTIC BAGGIE WITH APPROXIMATELY 2 GRAMS OF SUSPECTED METHAMPHETAMINE ON THE PASSENGER FLOOR AND DOOR HANDLE.  THE PASSENGER, CASSANDRA NORWOOD, CLAIMED THE OWNERSHIP AND WAS ARRESTED.  NORWOOD WAS CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE FOR RESALE AND DRUG PARAPHERNALIA AND TRANSPORTED TO THE LAWRENCE COUNTY JAIL.  THE DRIVER WAS ISSUED A WARNING TRAFFIC CITATION FOR FAILING TO DIM LIGHTS.
