A GILES COUNTY MAN WAS KILLED EARLY SUNDAY MORNING WHILE CHANGING A TIRE OFF A NORTH ALABAMA ROADWAY.  REPORTS INDICATE 49-YEAR-OLD CARLSON BALLENTINE OF PULASKI WAS STRUCK BY A PICKUP TRUCK WHILE HE WAS CHANGING A TIRE ON A SEDAN ON HIGHWAY 31 NEAR HUNTER LANE IN DECATUR.  TWO PEOPLE IN THE TRUCK WERE TRANSPORTED TO HUNTSVILLE HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT OF NON-LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES.  AN OCCUPANT OF BALLENTINE’S VEHCILE WAS TREATED FOR MINOR INJURIES.  INVESTIGATION INTO THE INCIDENT IS CONTINUING.
