Pulaski of Mayor and Alderman approved parade permits for the Giles County Baptist Association on Sunday and the Trent Holt 5K, rescheduled for October 24th.
The board passed an ordinance, on first reading, relative to amending the 2020-21 budget to roll-over unused funds from the 2019-20 budget for street paving.
A resolution was adopted relative to a change order with Doss Brothers for Lot 5 in Dan Speer Industrial Park South.
The board also agreed to designate Juneteenth as a floating holiday, meaning city employees may take a paid day off of their choice during June, with city operations remaining unaffected. The holiday schedule change will take effect on June 1st, 2021.
The holiday celebrates freedom from slavery for African-Americans, commemorating June 19, 1865, as a pivotal point in our nation's history.
The board will meet for a work session at 4:30 p.m. Monday, at the Pulaski City Hall.
