While researching other services, the Giles County Ambulance Service Committee members recommended renewing the Ambulance Service’s contract with AMB Mars Billing.
The contract with Mars Billing calls for a three-year extension with continuing to receive 5.75 percent of net collections.
The Giles County Ambulance Service is also obligated to pay $31,695 for six more laptop computers and other software.
A service employee said the latest computers will replace Ambulance Service computers and software that is growing obsolete.
Committee members also recommended a policy to write off remaining balances of county employees and immediate family members at the Ambulance Service left after insurance had paid.
The policy will go to the Financial Management Committee for review.
