Lynnville Mayor and Alderman gave the final approval to meet the first Monday instead of the first Tuesday of each month.
Approval was made in spite of a petition with 217 signatures of those who opposed the change from holding meetings at 5:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday.
A city charter gives the mayor and alderman authority to set a date, time and location of each board meeting.
During the March meeting, Mayor Phillip Vandiver reported not all the signatures were residents of Lynnville and Vice-President Floyd Pratt questioned some signatures, which was disputed by Sandy White, who helped gathered the list of names.
