TENNESSEE GOVERNOR BILL LEE ANNOUNCED DURING THE WEEKEND THAT HE PLANS TO CALL A SPECIAL SESSION OF THE STATE LEGISLATURE TO NAME A NEW HOUSE SPEAKER.  LEE TOLD AN AUDIENCE DURING SATURDAY'S TENNESSEE REPUBLICAN PARTY STATESMEN DINNER THAT HE BELIEVES THE SESSION WILL TAKE PLACE IN MID TO LATE AUGUST.  MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES WILL SELECT AN INDIVIDUAL TO REPLACE OUTGOING SPEAKER GLENN CASADA OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY WHO SAID HE'LL RESIGN FROM THE POST ON AUGUST SECOND.  CASADA IS STEPPING DOWN FROM THE POSITION OVER HIS ROLE IN A CONTROVERSY INVOLVING HIS FORMER CHIEF OF STAFF.  LEE ALSO STATED DURING HIS SPEECH HE'LL ANNOUNCE MORE INFORMATION REGARDING THE SESSION FOLLOWING HIS RETURN FROM AN UPCOMING JOB RECRUITMENT TRIP TO ASIA.
