TENNESSEE STATE PARKS WILL CELEBRATE NATIONAL TRAILS DAY ON SATURDAY JUNE 1ST WITH FREE, GUIDED HIKES AT ALL 56 PARKS.  THE VARIETY OF RANGER LED HIKES WILL INCLUDE HISTORICAL TOURS, WATERFALL VIEWING, TRAIL BUILDING AND MORE.  THE EVENT IS HOSTED ANNUALLY ON THE FIRST SATURDAY IN JUNE IN COORDINATION WITH THE AMERICAN HIKING SOCIETY TO PROMOTE AND CELEBRATE THE IMPORTANCE OF TRAILS IN THE UNITED STATES.  DAVID CROCKETT STATE PARK IN LAWRENCEBURG WILL HAVE A NATIONAL TRAILS DAY HIKE SCHEDULED ON THAT DAY FROM 4 TO 7. THE HIKE IS A MODERATE TO STRENUOUS AND WILL INCLUDE A CREEK CROSSING.
