THE FORMER MAURY COUNTY TEACHER TAD CUMMINS WHO WAS SENTENCED TO 20 YEARS IN PRISON IN JANUARY, HAS DECIDED TO DROP AN APPEAL ON THE LENGTH OF HIS PRISON SENTENCE.  MEDIA SOURCES REPORT, CUMMINS APPEALED TO THE SIXTH CIRCUIT COURT OF APPEALS AND IT IS NOT CLEAR WHY HE DROPPED IT. CUMMINS, WAS ARRESTED AFTER RUNNING ACROSS COUNTRY WITH HIS THEN 15-YEAR OLD STUDENT ELIZABETH THOMAS.
