A NUMBER OF STRONG STORMS WERE TO BLAME FOR A HOST OF DAMAGE REPORTS SATURDAY NIGHT.  A POWERFUL STORM SYSTEM CROSSED MUCH OF THE SOUTHEAST SATURDAY NIGHT WHICH RESULTED IN SEVERAL REPORTS OF DOWNED TREES IN PARTS OF LAWRENCE, MAURY, AND GILES COUNTIES.  COLBERT AND LAUDERDALE COUNTIES IN ALABAMA EXPERIENCED A NUMBER OF DOWNED TREES, DAMAGE TO SOME HOMES, AND AN OVERTURNED CAMPER.  NO MAJOR INJURIES WERE REPORTED LOCALLY FROM THE WEATHER SYSTEM HOWEVER SEVERE PEOPLE WERE REPORTED TO HAVE BEEN HURT BY A SUSPECTED TORNADO THAT DAMAGED A NUMBER OF COUNTIES IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI LATE SATURDAY.
