LAWRENCE COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS WERE CALLED TO A RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE EARLY THIS MORNING.  UNITS FROM ETHRIDGE, HENRYVILLE, SUMMERTOWN, AND NEW PROSPECT WERE SUMMONED TO A JAMES ROAD PROPERTY JUST AFTER 5 ON A REPORT THAT FLAMES WERE VISIBLE FROM AN AMISH PROPERTY.  BY THE TIME FIREFIGHTERS ARRIVED, THE BLAZE HAD BEEN EXTINGUISHED.  NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.  THIS MORNING’S CALL ADDED TO A LENGTHY LIST OF RESPONSES FOR THE COUNTY’S VOLUNTEER FIRE SERVICE.  CREWS FROM NEARLY ALL OF LAWRENCE COUNTY 14 VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS ANSWERED NEARLY 40 CALLS FOR HELP DURING THE WEEKEND.
