FIRE FIGHTERS IN MAURY COUNTY WERE BUSY SUNDAY MORNING WORKING A REPORTED STRUCTURE FIRE WITH POSSIBLE ENTRAPEMENT.  MEMBERS OF THE MAURY COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT WERE DISPATCHED TO THE SCENE ON WILLIAMSPORT PIKE AROUND 5:48 AM.  ARRIVING UNITS FOUND THE HOME HEAVILY INVOLVED WITH ALL OCCUPANTS OUT OF THE HOME.  CREWS WORKED TO CONTAIN THE BLAZE AND OCCUPANTS WERE TRANSPORTED BY MAURY COUNTY EMS FOR SMOKE INHALATION.  RED CROSS WAS ALSO CALLED TO THE SCENE TO ASSIST THE FAMILY.  THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION.  LATER IN THE AFTERNOON, MAURY COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS WERE ALSO CALLED TO A CHIMNEY FIRE ON GREENSMILL ROAD.  SPRINGHILL FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS DISPATCHED TO ASSIST AND UPON ARRIVAL FOUND FIRE COMING FROM THE CHIMNEY.  THE FIRE WAS CONTAINED TO THE CHIMNEY AND QUICKLY EXTINGUISHED.
