FIRE CREWS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY SPENT HOURS SATURDAY WORKING A NUMBER OF CALLS FOR HELP.  MEMBERS OF THE LEOMA, CROSSROADS, CENTER POINT, AND NEW PROSPECT FIRE DEPARTMENTS WERE CALLED TO A TWO VEHICLE TRAFFIC CRASH WITH INJURIES JUST AFTER 7 ON HIGHWAY 43 NEAR THE PURCELL LANE INTERSECTION.  THE VEHICLES APPARENTLY COLLIDED HEAD-ON.  TWO MEDICAL HELICOPTERS WERE CALLED TO SCENE FOR A PAIR OF VICTIMS WHILE A THIRD WAS TRANSPORTED BY LAWRENCE COUNTY EMS TO SOUTHERN TENNESSEE REGIONAL FOR TREATMENT.  JUST AFTER 10, CROSSROADS FIREFIGHTERS WERE CALLED TO A SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH ON FALL RIVER ROAD.  CREWS SPENT A NUMBER OF HOURS ON THAT SCENE WHILE STATE TROOPERS INVESTIGATED THE INCIDENT.  AROUND MIDNIGHT A HOUSE FIRE WAS REPORTED ON CAROL ROAD IN SUMMERTOWN.  THE HOUSE TRAILER TYPE RESIDENCE WAS REPORTEDLY FULLY ENGULFED IN FLAMES WHEN FIREFIGHTERS ARRIVED.  MEMBERS OF THE SUMMERTOWN, ETHRIDGE, AND HENRYVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENTS RESPONDED.  THE CAUSE OF THE BLAZE REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
