FORMER LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF JIMMY BROWN WAS IN COURT THIS WEEK.  BROWN, WHO WAS INDICTED BY THE COUNTY GRAND JURY FOR A SECOND TIME IN JANUARY, LEARNED ON MONDAY THAT HIS AND FORMER DEPARTMENT CAPTAIN ADAM BREWER'S CASE WILL ADVANCE TO A HEARING NEXT MONTH.  BROWN WAS IN COURT FOR AN ARRAIGNMENT ON A SECOND CHARGE BROUGHT BEFORE THE GRAND JURY IN JANUARY.  JUDGE STELLA HARGOVE QUESTIONED DURING MONDAY'S PROCEEDING WHY A HEARING DATE HAD NOT YET BEEN MADE AND SET MARCH 7TH AS THE PAIR'S HEARING.
