ON MONDAY, JUST AFTER 7 AM., FLORENCE POLICE RESPONDED TO THE 3100 BLOCK OF HUNTSVILLE ROAD TO A REPORT OF A VEHICLE THEFT. ACCORDING TO A PRESS RELEASE, THE VEHICLE WAS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY TWO HOURS LATER AT A LOCAL HOTEL. THE SUSPECT, RANDY HARDEN, 44, OF FLORENCE, JUMPED FROM A SECOND-STORY WINDOW TO EVADE OFFICERS AND WAS QUICKLY APPREHENDED WITHOUT INJURIES. HARDEN WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE LAUDERDALE COUNTY DETENTION CENTER AND BOOKED ON THE CHARGE OF THEFT OF PROPERTY IN THE FIRST DEGREE WITH A $30,000 BOND.
