A LAWRENCE COUNTY MAN WAS KILLED IN A FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT OVERNIGHT IN IRON CITY. EMERGENCY PERSONNEL WERE DISPATCHED TO THE INCIDENT ON DUCKTOWN ROAD AROUND 11:45 PM. REPORTS INDICATE A TRUCK DRIVEN BY 26 YEAR OLD JOSHUA HOPPER WAS TRAVELING NORTH ON A HILLY TERRAIN THROUGH THE WOODLINE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY WHEN IT OVERTURNED SEVERAL TIMES DOWN A HIGH EMBANKMENT, COMING TO FINAL REST ON THE DRIVER SIDE FACING SOUTH. HOPPER DIED FROM INJURIES SUSTAINED. TWO PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE WERE NOT INJURED. THE TENNESSEE HIGHWAY PATROL INVESTIGATED THE ACCIDENT. MEMBERS OF LAWRENCE COUNTY FIRE AND RESCUE, LAWRENCEBURG FIRE, LAWRENCE COUNTY EMS, LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT ALONG WITH EMERGENCY PERSONNEL FROM WAYNE COUNTY RESPONDED.
