ALABAMA GOVERNOR KAY IVEY SIGNED THE MEDICAL MARIJUANA BILL INTO LAW TODAY (MONDAY). MEDIA SOURCES REPORT, THIS LAW WILL CREATE A STATEWIDE REGULATORY SYSTEM FOR MEDICAL CANNABIS WHERE DOCTORS WILL BE ABLE TO PRESCRIBE IT FOR VARIOUS AILMENTS INCLUDING FOR CANCER, HIV, PTSD AND EPILEPSY. ALABAMA IS THE 37TH STATE TO LEGALIZE MEDICAL MARIJUANA. GOVERNOR IVEY, THANKED SENATOR TIM MELSON AND REPRESENTATIVE MIKE BALL FOR ALL THEIR HARD WORDK ON THIS TO ENSURE A PRODUCTIVE, SAFE AND RESPONSIBLE OPERATION IN ALABAMA.
