GILES COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM IS EXCITED TO OFFER IN-PERSON SUMMER LEARNING CAMPS FREE OF CHARGE TO STUDENTS. THE INTENT OF THE CAMPS IS TO BRIDGE LEARNING GAPS CREATED BY THE PANDEMIC. THE CAMPS WILL BE OFFERED DURING THE MONTH OF JUNE TO STUDENTS CURRENTLY IN GRADES K THRU 8 IN GILES COUNTY. THE SEVEN-HOUR CAMP DAY WILL FOCUS ON READING AND MATH INSTRUCTION WITH ADDITIONAL TIME FOR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND HANDS-ON LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES. THE GILES COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM WILL PROVIDE MEALS AND TRANSPORTATION. THOSE INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING CAN FILL OUT A FORM AT GCBOE.US BY APRIL 2ND. IF THERE IS MORE DEMAND THAN SEATS AVAILABLE, THE GILES COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM WILL PRIORITIZE ENROLLMENT OF STUDENTS WHO ARE STRUGGLING ACADEMICALLY.
