A TRAFFIC STOP EARLY THIS WEEK IN LAWRENCE COUNTY RESULTED IN THE ARREST OF A WANTED PERSON OUT OF MAURY COUNTY. ACCORDING TO REPORTS, LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF JOHN MYERS CONDUCTED A TRAFFIC STOP ON SUNDAY ON NORTH BRACE ROAD IN SUMMERTOWN. THE DRIVER, MATTHEW RYAN BLAIR, WAS OPERATING AN UNAUTHORIZED MOTOR VEHICLE ON A PUBLIC ROADWAY AT THE BRIDGE NEAR THE PLEASANT GARDEN INTERSECTION. A USED SYRINGE WAS FOUND IN BLAIR'S POSSESSION AND A SEARCH OF THE FOUR WHEELER RESULTED IN THE DISCOVERY OF ANOTHER LOADED SYRINGE. BLAIR WAS PLACED UNDER ARREST AND NOW FACES CHARGES OF POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE II METH AND POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA IN ADDITION TO HIS OUTSTANDING WARRANTS OUT OF MAURY COUNTY.
