Lawrence County Executive David Morgan has launched his campaign for a second term, emphasizing his commitment to Government Transparency, Fiscal Conservatism, Economic Development, Education, and Quality of Life. He announced his bid at the Republican Party Reagan Dinner alongside Congressman John Rose and U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn.

Morgan highlighted agricultural growth, noting the county added nearly 8,000 acres of farmland and ranks third in Tennessee for young farmers. Economic development projects under his administration include new industrial investments from Blickman Industries and Magna International, as well as land purchases and infrastructure upgrades to support future growth.

Public safety and quality-of-life improvements have included increased staffing and pay for EMS and fire personnel, new ambulance coverage, mobile convenience centers, road repairs, and plans for a new Health Department building. Education initiatives feature higher teacher pay, expanded mental health services, and facility upgrades across the county.

Morgan also emphasized open government and fiscal responsibility, citing weekly updates, new online systems, and careful budget management without raising property taxes. He pledged to continue building on these achievements if re-elected.
