Janis Marie Bryce Griffis

Janis Marie Bryce Griffis, age 82, of Franklin, TN passed away Saturday, August 09, 2025, at NHC Place of Cool Springs in Franklin, TN.  She was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN.  She had a B.S. Degree of nursing from The University of Tennessee Memphis and a Master’s Degree in nursing from The University of Tennessee Knoxville.  She retired from the VA Hospital after 41 years.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, and making memories with her family.  She loved watching UT Football, Baseball, and Basketball and was an avid fan of all sports.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Captain Paul Walker Bryce, Jr. and Marie Autry Bryce.

She is survived by one son, Brian Osborn (Heather) of Dickson, TN; one sister, Patricia Johnson (Kenneth) of Murfreesboro, TN; one brother, Jerry Bryce (Jennifer) of Lawrenceburg, TN; two grandchildren, Claire Osborn and James Osborn both of Dickson, TN; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 13, 2025.  Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.  Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
