Philpot Name UT Alumni Association Outstanding Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Professor Sherry Philpot of UT Southern. Professor Philpot has been named the 2024-2025 University of Tennessee Alumni Association Outstanding Teacher of the Year, a well-deserved recognition of her passion, dedication, and impact on students at UT Southern.

Selected through nominations from students, Professor Philpot’s commitment to teaching goes far beyond the classroom as several students sing her praises of support and encouragement.

Professor Philpot will be honored this June at the University of Tennessee Alumni Association Board of Governors meeting in Knoxville, receiving a $1,000 stipend and recognition among her peers across the UT System.
