Karen Sue Chambers Russell died May 3rd, 2023 at Maury Regional Hospital. She was 73 years old. She graduated from Elkton High School, Martin Methodist College, and Tennessee Wesleyan University, worked as a physical therapist in Giles and Lawrence Counties, and as a scheduler for the Space Program and Department of Defense. She helped the Elkton Historical Society, the Giles County Historical Society, the Giles County Board of Tourism, and served on the board of the Giles County Trail of Tears Interpretive Center.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 7th, 2025 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.
Services will be Wednesday, May 7th, 2025 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Bennett- May & Pierce Funeral Home with Bro. Brad Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Elkton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to Community Rural Food Delivery c/o P.O. Box 1066, Pulaski, TN or to the Trail of Tears Interpretive Center c/o P.O. Box 16, Pulaski, TN
Survivors include a Sister, Wanda Smith of Elkton, Nephew, Brother Brad and wife Angie Smith of Elkton, and Several cousins and friends also survive.
