Richland Graduate Doing Very Well

A local Richland High School Graduate, Rebecca Tolene (formerly Rebecca Chunn, daughter of longtime Richland Football Coach Andy Chunn & his wife Pam) has been named TVA’s Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.

Rebecca oversees all legal initiatives across the enterprise, and previously served as TVA’s Chief Sustainability Officer, she also led development of TVA’s environmental policy, monitoring performance against corporate environmental goals and improving executive-level working relationships with federal and state regulators and environmental stakeholders.

Last year Rebecca was also named one of the top forty women in the State of Tennessee for 2024.

During her 20+ year career with TVA, she has also served as TVA’s deputy general counsel and as advisor to the TVA Board of Directors and two CEOs, served as vice president of Supply Chain, responsible for all aspects of TVA’s $3 billion per year spend on materials and services to optimally operate diverse generation and transmission assets.

Rebecca, a graduate of Richland High School in Lynnville resides in Knoxville, with her husband, James, and two children, Kathryn and William.
